Web Design Pricing

As an independent web designer, my prices are flexible and extremely competitive.  I empathize with start up companies, and truly enjoy working with people who are passionate about what they do.  For this reason, I offer a Name Your Price option.

Name Your Price

My Name Your Price option allows you to request a price for your website.  If the price is reasonable for the work involved, I will be happy to take on your project.  If your budget is low for the work involved, I will let you know exactly what services your budget allows, and how to make the most of your budget.  If you don’t have a price in mind, simply let me know and I will provide a quote.

Cost Factors
The following is a list of features that affect the price of a website…

• Amount of Content
The amount time it takes to create a well organized website will depend on the amount of web content to be included.  For instance, a 50 page website will cost more than a 5 page website.

• Design Complexity
All of my websites are designed from scratch without templates.  Designs with multiple backgrounds, headers, and special layouts will cost more than a website design with one header and one background.  The larger your budget, the more time I can put into the special touches that truly make the site memorable and engaging.

• Flash/Dynamic Content
The cost will be affected if you desire flash/dynamic design (animated graphics).  Flash is terrible for SE0 (search engine optimization), which is why I never create completely flash websites.  In many cases, I do suggest using subtle touches of flash throughout the website.  This adds a professional, modern touch and helps gain respect from visitors.  There are also alternatives to flash that don’t negatively impact SEO and can achieve similar effects.

• Functionality & Features
Special website features such as an online member database, registration system, forum, blog, etc will affect the cost of the website.

• Ecommerce
Ecommerce sites vary in price as well.  Determining factors for the cost of an ecommerce site include the amount of products you are selling, the payment processing system, and the amount of customization your shopping cart requires.
